QPR POTM Award Presented by Sportito Fantasy Manager

October QPR Player of the Month (POTM) award was presented to Joe Lumley by our very own Sportito player, Andrew McColl. He won this awesome opportunity through the draw held by Sportito, as the Official Fantasy Football Partner of QPR, to choose a deserving QPR fan to present the QPR POTM award to Joe Lumley. The event was held at the pitch side of Loftus Road last week, followed by photos taken by QPR official photographer!

Andrew shared few words with us about the amazing experience he had at QPR.

Q: How was your experience at Loftus Road?
A: It was great! From the moment we entered the reception area we were made comfortable. Whilst we were waiting to be taken through the magical Loftus Road tunnel to the pitch, we met Chris Kamara! We had the opportunity to take a few pics of the trophies (including the 2013/14 Championship Play Off Final Trophy – what a day out that was!) And the Managers & Honours boards.
Particularly poignant was the Remembrance plaque, given that the match was the Saturday before Remembrance Sunday, and QPRs chance to honour the Armistice Centenary, and honour the sacrifices made by so, so many for the freedoms we enjoy today.
It was wonderful to enter the arena that is Fortress Loftus Road through the players tunnel! Fabulous to get a few pics in the QPR dugout, and it was fantastic to be at the side of the pitch, literally stood on the bye-line; whilst the players prepared for the game just a few feet in front of us! I was tempted to show the lads a few skills & tricks, sadly time wasn’t on our side – their loss!
As we left the playing area, going back through the players tunnel, we bumped into Steve McClaren, more pics taken, and the opportunity to offer to some sound tactical advice!!!
Great seats in the South Africa Road Stand, affording a great view of a terrific win!

Q: How was meeting and presenting POTM award to Joe Lumley? What are your thoughts on Joe becoming the POTM?
A: What a tall man Joe Lumley is! From where I usually sit (Upper Loft), you really don’t appreciate just how tall he is! I’m guessing about 8 foot 6!!!
Joe seemed really, really happy to receive the award – to the point that no matter how many QPR staff offered to take the award from him – that plaque was going back with him, in his safe pair of hands – back to the dressing room!
A thoroughly deserved award. Four clean sheets in five games; two clean sheets at home and two away! What a fantastic month! Only one goal conceded in the entire month – Outstanding! Joes seems to inspire confidence in the back four, he’s very vocal and really commands the box.
I was lucky enough to be at the wins over Wednesday and Villa at end of October; against Villa Joe saved one, that was on its way in, with a great dive down to his right! And at the Wednesday game, Joe made a couple of very, very good stops!
Future England Keeper, right here at Loftus Road – Fact!

Q: What do you like the best about Sportito?
A: It’s so easy to play! No worries over whether you’re ‘within budget’ for your fantasy team – just whether you’ve got the right players! It becomes a little addictive to watch the games unfold, whilst keeping a close eye on how the contests you’re in are progressing…
I’m doing pretty well at the moment – which I think proves you don’t need to be an expert to do OK on Sportito!!!

Q: Would you recommend Sportito to your friends/colleagues?
A: Already have! And hopefully my bonus will get higher and higher as more and more friends join from their invitations!?
